Mission and Culture

The Mission and Culture track is designed to prepare students to become involved in mission, evangelism and humanitarian work. This area of concentration will in particular focus on cross-cultural understanding and communication. Students would, for example,  be able to have praxis abroad in a mission setting or actively participate in a humanitarian work context.

There are great needs for people who are willing to cross ethnic, cultural and social barriers in order to serve people in various ways. The need for missionaries domestically or abroad is as huge as the needs;  the need for people desiring to bring good news to others likewise. One of the greatest demonstrations of the gospel today would be the practical involvement in humanitarian aid in various ways. This track will therefore focus extensively on developing cross-cultural competence and creative ways to reach out to people in various contexts. Various ways of communication and cross-cultural leadership would be emphasized. Students in this area of concentration will also work with issues related to pioneering ministries and work in settings where others may not have done the same previously.

In this track each student would be able to "tailor-make" his or her future ministry focus. It would, of course, take courage! But the courage will be greatly rewarded as this could be translated into life-changing experiences, both in one´s personal life and in the lives of others.
