Creative Communication

The Creative Communication track is designed for persons who would like to be involved in Christian leadership in terms of media, music or other creative expressions like art.  

It is believed that creative communication represents some of the most exciting ways to influence youth, children, church and society in positive ways. Today´s society is increasingly becoming a communicative society now with the internet, television, mobile technology having become part of our social identities in some many ways. The rise of jobs in technological areas is also increasing - and the needs in churches and Christian organization are no less.

This area of specialization seeks to foster leadership in three key areas: MEDIA, MUSIC, and other forms of CREATIVE ARTS. In all these areas the key focus would be how each of these would related to church and mission leadership, however, with great applicability to needs in society in general. All of these areas also represent great support areas for other church ministries such as pastoral leadership, youth and children´s ministry, evangelism, outreach and beyond.*

MEDIA: For students desiring to develop leadership in area of media, this track would equip students by providing a broad base of knowledge in related areas related to media. In addition, there would be an opportunity to specialize in some practical area, such as TV, radio, the internet, the printed media.  

MUSIC: For students wanting to specialize in music, there would be an opportunity to further develop and enhance skills in various areas of music, including vocal and instrumental performance, composing, recording, and in other ways train to become music leaders in church settings and beyond.  

CREATIVE ARTS: There are many creative ways of communication that are needed in the church. Some of the possible options that may be explored in this track are drama, dance, and the arts.


POSSIBLE CAREER OPTIONS:

  • Media minister
  • Christian TV and radio worker
  • Music minister (worship leader, musical leader, choir director etc.)
  • Music producer
  • Drama and dance instructor
  • Artistic coordinator 

*Some of these possible areas of specialization may vary from year to year, depending on student needs and availability.
